The Wholey Water Project (TWWP) Private Membership Association (PMA) Member Agreement
Introduction
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for membership in The Wholey Water Project (TWWP) Private Membership Association (PMA). By joining, members agree to follow the policies, responsibilities, and community guidelines outlined herein.
TWWP is a community-based initiative focused on providing contaminant-free water through point-source filtration, supported by and for the community. As an unincorporated PMA, TWWP maintains independence from external government regulation to preserve the project’s autonomy.
Access & Benefits
App and Tap-Map Access:
- Members gain access to the TWWP app and can subscribe to view tap locations through the Tap-Map.
Additional Benefits:
- Members are eligible for event invitations, competitions, and participation in regional campaigns.
- Referral credits are provided for successful referrals using personal affiliate links.
Roles & Participation:
Members may take on multiple roles within TWWP (e.g., Quenchers, Hosts, Facilitators, Installers, Craftsmen, Stakers) according to role-specific agreements.
Community Responsibilities & Conduct
Respect and Equity:
- All members must interact fairly and respectfully with Hosts and other members.
- Abuse of Hosts or members will not be tolerated and may lead to membership suspension or termination after review.
Host Access:
- Hosts are providing access to taps on their private property. Members must respect a Host’s right to refuse access.
- Disputes involving Hosts can be reported through the app for review and resolution.
Due Diligence:
- TWWP ensures water quality to the highest standard, removing 99.9% of contaminants, but members are responsible for their own due diligence.
- Changes in water quality should be reported promptly via the app for corrective action.
Dispute Resolution Mechanism
Internal Resolution Process:
- TWWP uses its own dispute resolution system to address disagreements between members, Hosts, and other roles.
- Issues can be reported through the app for review and resolution.
Appeals Process:
- Members can appeal decisions through the app, with a peer review process involving relevant roles (e.g., Hosts, Facilitators, and TWWP representatives).
Role Participation and Community Engagement
Role Progression:
- Members may subscribe to various roles (e.g., Quencher, Installer, Facilitator) and participate in projects and campaigns.
- Progression through roles is based on contributions and experience.
Competitions & Campaigns:
- Members are encouraged to participate in challenges, such as Waterhouse design competitions and regional campaigns.
- Regional chapters will host events to promote collaboration.
Mentorship and Collaboration:
- Mentorship programs are available to guide newer members.
- Cross-role collaboration is encouraged, enabling members to rotate through roles during campaigns.
Donations, Crowdfunding, and Public Events
Donation Incentives:
- Members are encouraged to donate resources or funds, with recognition through referral credits and public acknowledgment.
Events:
- Members will have access to collaborative events, including installation days and webinars.
- Launch events may be open to the public or limited to members only.
Crowdfunding Campaigns:
- Members can participate in campaigns to fund new tap installations and earn referral credits when new members join through their affiliate links.
Subscription Management & Cancellations
Cancellation Policy:
- Members may cancel their subscription at any time via the app.
Service Disruptions:
- If a commonly used tap becomes unavailable, members will be notified, and alternative solutions will be provided.
Technology & Communication
Tap-Map App:
- The app serves as the primary tool for communication, coordination, and accessing tap locations.
Notifications and Updates:
- Members will receive updates on campaigns, rewards, and milestones via the app.
Community Voting:
- Members can participate in community voting on new features and campaigns through the app.
Privacy and Data Management
Data Usage:
- TWWP collects essential data (e.g., water quality reports, subscription details) for operational purposes.
- Personal data will not be shared without consent unless required for project activities.
Privacy Policy:
- The privacy policy will be available during sign-up and accessible on the TWWP website.
Termination and Penalties
Termination of Membership:
- Membership may be revoked for violations of community guidelines or abuse of resources.
- A fine of $50,000 may be imposed for bad faith actions as outlined in the TWWP constitution.
Reinstatement Process:
- Members may apply for reinstatement by submitting an appeal through the app, subject to review by TWWP representatives.
Closing Provisions
This agreement, along with the TWWP Constitution and By-laws, represents the entire agreement between TWWP and its members. By joining, you agree to the terms outlined in this document.
